I cannot believe it is already half-way through September!! It is time to break out the Autumn decorations and get ready for the harvest season. I love this pinterest pin that shows you how to make a cute, simple and cheap wreath. The best part of this is that I could easily do this with my 5 and 3 year old girls.
The original Pinner used foam board but after coming from a day of shopping I realized I failed to pick up a sheet of it at Walmart. So, I hunted around in the garage and found some foam insulation board.
I cut it to the size I wanted and then spread some all-purpose glue all over it.
Then, the girls went crazy putting leaves all over it.
I did multiple layers, trying to add some depth and cover all the pink foam.
The original pinner found some great leaves that had a lot of texture. Unfortunately, the leaves I found were flat and not as interesting. I bought my leaves from The Dollar Tree (50 leaves a bag for $1 and used less than 3 bags).
I really liked the way this wreath turned out and how much my three year old loves to brag to our guests that she MADE it! *love*
