With school starting I want my kids to have a healty lunch…I also want them to eat that healthy lunch! Having three of the pickyest kids on the planet, they wont eat the apples once they turn brown! You can pack your kids the healthiest lunch ever, and it will do them no good if they wont eat it! So when I saw a Pin on Pinterest for how to keep apples from browning, I knew I HAD to test it ASAP!!!!

So, Did the soda keep our apples from browning??????
Well, What do you think?
I think it worked!!!!!
To be a true test, I cut an apple and used half of the apple to put in the soda, and left the other half out. I left the apples set out for 4 hours after taking them out of the soda and the picture above is my results. While I don’t think there is a HUGE difference in the apples, I think there is enough of a difference to get my kids to actually eat them!
I know what your next question is going to be…It worked, but How did it taste???? Honestly, I could not tell a difference in the taste at all! My kids ate them with no complaints! They also loved the idea that they were covered in soda! haha
I know that soda is not healthy food per say, but I figure that if my kids will eat the apples then the microscopic amount of soda that gets on the apples is worth it.
