My 5 year old daughter, Sara, lost her first tooth last night! Although the tooth has been wiggling around for months and only barely hanging on the last few days, she was absolutely shocked and excited!
Of course, that meant the Tooth Fairy would need to make her journey to Sara’s bedroom to collect her tooth in exchange for a surprise. But I really wanted her surprise to be as equally exciting as actually losing her tooth. After posting on Facebook to make the official announcement, Cassie’s mom left a comment “Don’t forget the Fairy Dust!”…Great Idea! I thought!
The fairy dust was not only a great way to make things special but was also something simple enough that I can live up to it through each tooth lost.
So, later I found out that Nancy (Cassie’s Mom), found the idea on Pinterest from Ten Kids and a Dog. This is a great way to make lasting family traditions and memories. Just like the original pinner suggested, I left a tooth fairy dust trail from her pillow, down the steps of her bunk bed and toward the window.
The Tooth Fairy Glitter Dust
This morning was a magical one! My daughter was absolutely amazed by the Glitter! “Mom! I didn’t even hear her come!”.
She is treasuring her glittered Five Dollar bill and says she isn’t spending it. It is now tucked away as a keepsake…hmmm…this may be a good way to get her to save money! lol
Well, I better wait and see how long that $5 lasts first!
