Nothing is more beautiful than a freshly wrapped Christmas gift sitting underneath your Christmas tree. However, I hate having to deal with the aftermath of wrapping presents. I have been looking for year to find a great Wrapping Paper Saver. I have used everything from tape and rubber bands to Hair scrunchies to secure the wrapping paper rolls. All of those ideas worked in securing the wrapping paper, but when I needed to use it again…It was a MESS! It wasn’t until I found PINTEREST (I wish I could insert angels singing here!) that I found my solution!
What you need to make your Wrapping Paper Saver:
- Wrapping paper that needs assistance ( ha ha ha)
- An empty Toilet paper roll
How to make your Wrapping Paper Saver:
- Get your empty toilet paper roll
- Cut it from one end to the other lengthwise
- Wrap it onto your slightly used wrapping paper
Well, I must say that this is by far the easiest pin I have ever tested! If you can use a pair of scissors and you use Toilet paper to wipe your bum you can do it too!!! I love the idea of re-purposing toilet paper rolls for this. However this solution is not fail proof. First of all you have to save your TP (toilet paper) rolls in order to have enough for every roll of wrapping paper you wish to “save”. Secondly, if your roll of wrapping paper is to small/thin the toilet paper roll just slides right off of it! 🙁
Will I save every finished roll of toilet paper I ever have???? UMMM, NO! I think that this pin is worth a shot though. If I weren’t a cheapskate and I actuality got the more expensive aka “fat” rolls of Wrapping paper instead of the cheap aka “skinny” rolls I think that this pin would have worked great!
